Pre-existing and chronic conditions

Serious and chronic illnesses are paid in full on all six levels. Congenital and hereditary conditions have no standard exclusion and are covered like any other condition, and HIV/AIDS is paid in full after a 12-month waiting period (which can be waived).

How existing conditions are assessed

The plan brochure does not set out the underwriting method. Before you apply, we confirm in writing how any condition you already have will be treated — covered, covered with an extra premium, or excluded — so there are no surprises at claim time.
